Last year, I attended a meeting, East Anglia region, organised by Ofsted. Two suited and booted Ofsted gents were seeking opinion from Home Educators, but, categorically not about the Badman report. ( His name was not to be mentioned).

3 people attended this particular session, 2 unregistered, 1 registered, such was the suspician about this meeting we remained nameless. This meeting was shunned by the 100's of Home Eds. in this area.

The Ofsted 'bods' were 'phishing', collating information on what they could do for us. It became evident with numerous references to 'missing children', that the Badman report is just another ill conceived government ploy, to deal with other departmental failings.

Missing children, were in part fairground children, travellers and children living in coastal resorts, attending school sometimes, and going Awol for months at a time. It was also mentioned that there is a port in Scotland, that has the highest number of children passing through, unaccompanied by parents. An area that allegedly is covered by Immigration/Border Control not by Education authorities.

Children of ethnic groups were also an area of concern, for Ofsted, aware that on occasion, they are removed to be married in other countries, all under the guise of Home tutoring.

The government has more than enough files on each and every one of us to pull its 'big fat well paid finger from its backside' and put their databases to work. If there is a real concern about missing children, do not dump it all the the lap of Home Ed. families, and penalise us.

Some suit in a dingy office, has the power in his podgy fingers to compile a lenghty report, based
on facts rather than the spurious assumptions of Badman.

I will say No to a forward plan.
