Haven't read the article but I'm wondering if this is a case of a shock headline that in reality isn't quite what it seems? For instance, I know someone who was put on the sex offenders register for having had sex with his girlfriend 20+ years ago - the girl at the time was just underage, he was just over the age of consent. Technically, he could be considered a paedophile and had he been stopped from living with his children (it was looked into by SS at the time of the court case - he was *court in the net* of an investigation into the foster father at the home he and his girlfriend lived in, where the foster father was a dangerous paedophile)then that would have been a grave injustice to the whole family. But like I said, I haven't read the article, and don't really have the stomach for it atm.
