Default Wondered if you could help :)

Heya,
I'm a second year student at university and as a part of my course I took Alternatives in Education. Home education really stood out for me, so for our assignment I wanted to look at aspect of home education.

What I found interesting is how the government has tried and failed to enforce monitoring of families who home educate (personally, I feel it shouldn't be, as I'm sure many others agree) and how no funding is available (which I found shocking).

I created a survey so I was able to include anonymous data from home educating parents, rather than just use books/journals. I would be really grateful if you were able to give your honest opinions about the topics discussed, if you wish to take part. The questionnaire isn't very exhaustive, it only includes 9 questions, so I have included the questions I felt were most relevant. however, there is plenty of opportunity in the survey to add opinions, so feel free to do so.

If you would like to take part, here is the link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/G6NBYVR

I must stress everything is completely confidential, and it is not a final piece of work (just trying to give some 'real' views in my essay).

Thank you

If you want some real views, note that funding comes with strings because the government will want to be able to account for how well they're spending taxpayers money. This is especially true when it gives them the excuse to impose monitoring to achieve this in return for the funding.

Some of us prefer to forgo the funding in order to avoid the interference.

Bang on, Llondel.

He who pays the piper calls the tune. And home education doesn't need to be bolstered by all the stuff that schools seem to need. In other words, it needn't cost a fortune to home educate.
