i wrote out my proposed education plan and sent it to my local authority, i was refused. it was all so daunting, so i never appealed. that was last year.
so now i am doing it again this time for sure, but i need help?
i am worried sick i am going to get refused again, i cant put my son back to school he cant cope.
i dont know where to start.
how will i be able to put together an educational provision that will be granted.?(they said i didn't give enough information)
where do i start?

.
Firstly Sharon he should be in school whilst you seek consent unless he has a Doctors note.
Secondly you need to visit the Schoolhouse site and read everything including the guidance

thankyou for your reply.
I will send dean back in on friday.
i will inform the head tomorrow of my plans, and i also have contacted the L.A for the forms.
The school wont take it well, they didnt last time, they think i am making a huge mistake, they let me know that they will be working closely with the L.A.
It annoys me, home educating is a positive, i find it all so daunting, but i am sure i am more than capable.

Hi Sharon
I second what Elaine has already advised in that you get in touch with Schoolhouse as soon as possible as they will be a fantastic support to you and will help you through every step!
They were fantastic when we removed our boys from school.
Hope it gets sorted out quickly for you and your son.

The blame lies at the door of the Fib Dems who failed, despite promising otherwise, to support an amendment to the SinSS Act 2000 which was backed by both the SNP and Tory members of the parliamentary education committee during its passage.

Instead, we got the statutory guidance, which the Labour-led administration subsequently tried to twist for its own ends. Their plans were ultimately defeated thanks mainly to the support of Mike Russell, who was then the SNP's shadow ed minister.

The consent anomaly which exists in Scotland is as good a reason as any never to send your children to school in the first place. There are, however, possible ways round it, some more drastic than others, e.g. moving out of the area, moving your child temporarily into the private sector, or obtaining a medical certificate for absence pending the great escape.

Sharon's experience of deliberate delaying tactics, undermining and blocking by the LA demonstrates just how desperate the vested interests are to keep their captive audience of children, regardless of how unhappy they may be in school.

Local MSPs are helpful when an LA deliberately chooses to ignore the guidance. The SNP, Tories and Greens can usually be relied on to offer support to a constituent who is being given the run around.

Another political party I'll never be voting for then.
