Also whilst in Dumfries and Galloway we have visited the Ice Cream factory where the outdoor adventure equipment is second to none, the ever logical Jenster was totally stumped when it came to escaping the 3D maze .

There's a good overnight stopover at the 7 stanes carpark between Dalbeattie and Kipford (good beach and forest walks at Kipford). The forestry commission car park at Loch Trool is good too. The cl at Cardoness Estate is good too. You can take the 'van into the estate during the day as part of the deal.

Spent last night at a remote cove near Monreith absolutely beautiful apart from picnicers litter so I did a clean up and just finished as a council chap arrived to do the job so we had a good chat about the area the cove was accessed by Single track around the hillside which was my first real off road experience and it was fun coming away this morning as The Jenster was on the side looking down the sheer drop instead of me she hadn't realised why I had negotiated the track so slowly yesterday till she saw that ! But I knew from other motorhomers with bigger vans than mine that it was safe enough before I ventured down and it was well used by golfers using the local course .
